I cannot say enough good things about my stay at La Terrasse Maho Beach.
In my opinion, it is the BEST viewing area in ALL OF ST. MAARTEN for plane spotting!

And for all you plane enthusiasts out there who must visit SXM - Princess Juliana Airport in St. Maarten, yes, you can still stand in Maho Beach, but you can have the best of both worlds by staying here at La Terrasse!

La Terrasse is part of the Royal Islander Club, offering vacation rentals located in the heart of downtown Philipsburg on the Dutch side of Sint Maarten.

Let me please provide all the fantastic reasons why you should stay with Dale and Joy here at La Terrasse Maho Beach…

- Their 2nd floor condo has a balcony with scenic views of the pool and garden.

- I received my rate for $100 per night. Granted, the price probably fluctuates depending on the time of year, but $100 for any point in time for a place right beside the SXM Airport and literally standing next to the runway, any aviation enthusiast would be living a dream come true!!!

- La Terrasse has 24/7 security including a parking garage for your car if you happen to have a rental. Parking inside the garage was conveniently only $5 per day.

- La Terrasse is located in the heart of downtown Philipsburg and steps from Maho Beach and restaurants like Driftwood Bar, Sunset Grill, Mr. Chow and plenty others.
There are gift shops and convenience stores right outside La Terrasse as well.

- The condo has a king size bed with couch and flat screen television.
There’s a walk in shower with door, no flimsy curtain, lol. A kitchen area with furnishings including a microwave, plates, cups and utensils.

- WiFI is provided free of charge and it’s really fast!!!

- Dale and Joy offer snorkeling gear to use at your own leisure including boogie boards for having fun. That was a great added element to the stay.

- The condo has central A/C with a dehumidifier. I had restful night sleeps every for my 5 day accommodations.

- Dale and Joy communicated with me through WhatsApp as Sint Maarten is an international destination and to avoid charges with citizens from the USA who may not have the most wide ranging phone plans.
And with communicating on WhatsApp, they reached out to me regularly to make sure my stay was a successful one.
Dale and Joy were in touch with me from booking until my final moments and checking out. There was never a problem and I felt like they had my genuine interests at heart to ensure I had the most memorable time on vacation.

- And finally, it’s all about standing on the blue walled terrace overlook beside the pool area. It’s incredible!!!
You don’t have to compete with strangers for videos and recordings (like at Maho Beach).
You have a panoramic perspective from high above the SXM runway. You’re not dealing with fences like at the beach.
I’ve done plane spotting in some of the biggest and busiest airport in the world and nothing compares to here at La Terrasse in Sint Maarten!
