Tesla Model S Plaid - brand new. Snow review on stock tires. Over all, the weight of the Tesla Model S with the advanced AWD does a great job in the snow. However, do not make my mistake - USE SNOW TIRES!!!

Honestly speaking, I think Tesla is one of the best cold weather AWD vehicles on the market. If you drive less than 150 miles a day and live in extreme cold, but can keep the car plugged in at night on a 240/or Tesla charger - you are golden. Think about all the people that in extreme cold have to leave their vehicles running all night to ensure they will start.

Cold weather draw backs - the obvious, you need snow or all-weather tires. You are limited by ground clearance. Cold significantly robs range and cuts down drivability. However, on a 80% charge, even in single digits with cold, wind, snow, heat on, heated seats on, heated steering wheel on and radio playing - you can easily commute 150 miles with no issues or need to stop and charge. If you can park inside a garage out of the weather, plug in when not using - honestly no other cold weather options that is as good...
