What happens when a country’s population stagnates thanks to increasing death rates and decreasing immigration rates? Although touted as one of the best countries in terms of quality of life and living standards, Canada is struggling to increase its population because of the upward trend of its death rate and the downward trend of its birth rate. This is one of the major issues contributing to the real estate market crash that we are seeing in Canada.

In this video I'm going to break down what is causing this massive disparity, as well as how it's going to effect Canada, it's economy and housing market moving forward. I'll also dive into the issues with immigration and why the current Canadian government might not be making the best decisions for them.

Despite being a well-developed country, Canada is facing population issues that could eventually hurt the working force, which then would affect the economy and the real estate market specifically. The combination of increasing death rates and decreasing immigration rates, especially for a country heavily reliant on immigrants, is a serious matter that the Government should swiftly act on – even if this means establishing new policies in healthcare to better respond to health crisis and new policies in immigration and citizenship to attract and welcome more immigrants to live in the country.
