There have been 720 aircraft crashes worldwide in the last 30 years, with the greatest number of casualties occurring in the mountainous nation. Tragically, at least 69 out of 72 people on board Yeti Airlines Flight 691 perished in a recent crash in Nepal, exacerbating the already dire situation. This was the third worst aviation accident to strike Nepal in the past 30 years. Out of 207 countries, Nepal ranks 33rd with 52 plane crashes, India 13th with 99, while the United States tops the list with 1,578 jet crashes, followed by Russia with 464 and Canada with 369 in 30 years.
