In the spring, in the first substantial collaboration between NU’s Boston and Oakland campuses, the Humanities Center welcomed to Mills, Dr. Carlos Alvarez Pereira, Vice President of the Club of Rome. He spoke about the meaning and historical reception of the Club’s influential 1972 "Limits to Growth” report, the subject of a 50th-anniversary retrospective that he has recently co-edited. That talk was followed by a successful workshop with an interdisciplinary group of Mills faculty linking the sciences and humanities. Demonstrating the importance of collaborations across Northeastern’s global campus network.
