Phase II of TRESA (trust in real estate services act) rolled out on December 1st. Here are 3 things buyers and sellers need to know. 1) Blind bidding is still a thing but open bidding (like an auction) is allowed at the seller's discretion. 2) Customer service is no longer allowed. You're either a client of the brokerage or you're considered self represented. 3) Multiple representation is still allowed if buyer and seller agree, otherwise a buyer can choose to work with a designated buyer representative if they wish to purchase one of the brokerage's listings.
