Having read and watched good reviews of the Decathlon Van Rysel RCR carbon racing shoes online, I decided to buy them as soon as they were back in stock. I was disappointed that they do not meet my expectations!

If I'm honest, although the spec sheet looks promising, Decathlon have cut many corners to get the shoe down to a price of £169. The compromises made and corners cut are difficult for me to overlook and I'll be returning the shoes. In this video I explain why I don't recommend you purchase this shoe. It may be good for anyone on a tighter budget but I think in the long run you are better saving up an extra £100 and buying a premium cycling shoe. Let me know your thoughts in the comments!
