The performance sedan by Hyundai USA; the 2022 Elantra N. A car that flooded every person’s Youtube feed for 12 days and was touted as a performance sedan by Hyundai that’s sure to stick with us, but will it? TheTopher crushed their review on it, savagegeese loved it, and Road & Track claimed it was the real deal; but sometimes its hard for me to think that they won’t always love every new car. A lot of normal, everday people are asking if the Elantra N is worth it. Is it worth the cost? Why wouldn’t it come in AWD? What’s the meaning of life? All great questions when looking at the affordable performance KDM. So instead of waiting for the invitation from Hyundai to review their cars, I thought I would steal one from a good friend Josh to give my real opinion on this odd looking car.

While it’s a fun car, it’s important to remember that it’s a $30,000+ sedan that’s intended to be a performance sedan that checks all the boxes. I also wanted to look at this from an enthusiast perspective in terms of modifications, depreciation, and capabilities. Although it’s touted as a performance sedan with a manual gearbox, e-lsd, michelin pilot sport 4s’s, and a turbo four cylinder, you have to ask if it’s worth the risk to make the jump from a tried and tested pre-owned FK8 Type R.
