For those of you who are unable to attend our drone fishing demos, this is how they go down. This video is most of what happened at one of our most recent drone fishing demos at Karioitahi, West Coast, South Auckland. We were mainly using the Swellpro FD1 drone, running out from the new Seahorse Drone Winch. We also had the SwellPro SPRY+ and SplashDrone 4 drones, as well as the AEE Condor A22.

SwellPro FD1 SPRY and SplashDrone 4 Virtual Drone Fishing Demo

How to fish with the water resistant Splashdrone FD1 fishing drone. Drone fishing techniques with Kaleb in 15 - 20 knots or more of offshore wind. This video is instructional and shows all the "How to fish with a drone" techniques if you are considering getting in to drone fishing but are unsure how easy it is. Calibrating the SwellPro FD1 is incredibly easy, especially when compared to the older generation Splashdrone 3, 3+, and earlier models.

The SwellPro Splashdrone FD1 has a max payload of 2kg, max casting distance of 1600m, and comes with your choice of either tension release, or mechanical release as shown in this video. The mechanical release also has the option of a live feed camera so you can see where you are dropping your baits. The new battery allows up to a massive 26 minutes of flight time.

The SwellPro FD1 Drone Fishing setup is one of the easiest fishing rigs to use, and is ideal for anyone wanting to catch fish with a drone, from beginners who have never flown a drone, through to those who have experience but want a water resistant fishing drone.

The Splashdrone 4 (and older models) and SwellPro Fisherman Drone (FD1) are water resistant, which means they will resist the entry of water to an IPX4 level. For technical reasons, some parts of the drone are designed to be not completely sealed or completely watertight, so the drone should not be submerged under water. If the Splashdrone comes in contact with saltwater, the user is advised to wash any saltwater off with fresh water. Always follow all documentation and instruction manuals that come with the drone.
