In the Tesla software update 2020.40.3 we see two new features added for most and a third for some Tesla Model 3 and Model Y owners depending on when and where their vehicle was produced. The update 2020.40.8 has started showing up as well, but appears to be no significant difference between the two, just some minor bug fixes, as the release notes are the same.

The 2020.40.4 and 2020.40.8 Tesla update is also starting to roll out, now, but there seems no additional updates compared to this release.

2020.40.7 seems to be Model Y specific and is related to increasing range by improved efficiencies in the Power train and heat pump
