The Hawaiʻi Department of Health and Hawaiʻi Department of Education will discuss the results of preliminary, unvalidated data from ash sampling showing elevated levels of toxic substances.

Health Director Dr. Kenneth Fink will address what the preliminary ash samples from Kula mean and community mitigation efforts to reduce risk. Hawai‘i State Department of Education Superintendent Keith Hayashi will discuss what this means for schools re-opening in West Maui.
