The Sigma 24mm 1.4 Art Series prime lens has quickly become one of my favorites. It hasn’t left my camera in the past 2.5 years, and here’s why!

I honestly don’t have any negative criticisms of this lens. Mine did have a slight issue with front-focusing, where when I focused on a subject, an area slightly in front would actually be in focus, but a quick adjustment with the Sigma dock fixed the problem. I know this was an issue when I bought the lens, so I was ready to handle it.

It would be nice if the lens were stabilized, but luckily since 24mm is pretty wide, it’s not hard to keep stable. AND, since Sigma makes versions of this lens for most major camera manufacturers, if you have a camera with internal image stabilization, like a Sony A7III, then you’ll get the best of both worlds.

I’m personally pretty picky when it comes to camera equipment, and Sigma is one of the few third party manufacturers whose lenses I trust.
