Take a dive into the seas of the Jurassic period 180 million years ago and discover the life of the tiny vampire squid that live there using the power of x-rays!

"2D X-Ray vision” has been applied to the study of fossils for more than a century, but the modern 3D techniques often reveal astonishing, previously unseen features. A Jurassic vampire squid, probably the most exquisitely preserved fossil cephalopod known, is used to illustrate the power of the approach. But there’s much more - study of the sediment enclosing this fossil provides potent clues to the environment in which the animal lived and died.
