Putting an engine in between the axles makes for a better weight distribution and improved driving dynamics. It’s a trick we usually see on expensive exotics like the Ferrari, Mclaren, Lamborghini, and others; You know the sort.
But having an engine in the middle isn’t just for the 1%-ers, no no no, there are many more for us dirty peasant too.
