After 5 years of consistent all season usage we have really enjoyed our Thule Force XT Roof Box. This is the XL size. As I mention in the video there are some negatives to consider, but our overall rating is an 8/10. Great value, does the job, has stood up well over 5 yrs.

Things I forgot to mention:
- We have only noticed a minimal impact on MPG, maybe ~1 MPG.
- We don't notice any wind noise with it on the roof.
- When loading the box you cannot overstuff it and force it closed like you would a piece of luggage as it wont lock. Even soft items such a sleeping bags will be problematic if they are pressing against the top shell. There are three lock points on each side that need to be 100% fully interlocked in order for the locking mechanism to fully engage.
- I don’t understand why they don’t make the top lid a lighter color as that would make sense to me on hot summer days to help keep the interior of the box cooler. Maybe there is a reason for the black other than aesthetics, if you know please comment below.
