One question is dominating parents of young teenagers this week, to vaccinate or not? The Chief Medical Officers of the four nations are likely to call for all 12 to 15 year olds to be given the Covid jab as early as later this week. However, that goes against the advice of their own scientists, who say that for a healthy teenager the benefit is only marginal. Professor Adam Finn, a member of the JCVI, joins us to explain why the vaccine advisory body has decided AGAINST recommending vaccination of 12-15 years olds. And we hear from concerned mum of four, Laura Nibbs, who says she’ll stop sending her children to school if they begin vaccinating them. Alongside them - Dr Philippa Kaye, our resident GP, who says if she’s given the choice, she’ll be getting her 13 year old vaccinated without delay.
