#31ShotsOfHalloween. Day 31: "Who's There?"

Just like that, another Halloween night comes to a close. It's never quite long enough, is it? I'm sure many of you are experiencing the same melancholy feeling I am in this moment. The more Halloweens I experience, the more I realize the true power of its essence. I've come to realize that Halloween's brevity is, in itself, the source of its power. Were it a permanent fixture in our lives, it would lose its magical essence as the most whimsical and elusive night of the year. While we may mourn its passing for now, I hope we can find comfort in the certainty that Halloween will return next year, with all its splendor and whimsy. That is the very nature of what makes it so special. Happy Halloween, everyone!
