I’m very humbled by this heartfelt testimonial from Jeff Turner, who I had the privilege of spending two weeks with him in the Kimberley recently.

Kimberley Health contracted me to run some training in Broome and conduct Protective Education sessions in schools and for community groups in four remote communities they support.

Here is the transcript, as it's very windy.

"Hi, my name is Jeff Turner, and I work for the Kimberley Aboriginal Medical Service. I’m a sexual health project officer. I’m out in the beautiful Balgo community. I’m currently out at the lookout watching a beautiful sunset.

I was here just a couple of weeks ago with Holly-ann Martin. Pretty amazing to watch her do her thing. She’s very passionate, very dedicated to the work she does, and the material she’s
developed and the material she’s delivering to the kids is, um, second to none. It’s absolutely amazing. I was really fortunate to be able to watch her deliver and also to be mentored so that I’m able to deliver myself. I’ve actually just been out here this week delivering with young people. They have already started to remember the key things Holly-ann was talking about.

Anyone that’s got anything to do with children, I cannot recommend it enough, it is just very valuable suicide prevention, anti-bullying, protecting kids from sexual abuse, from being groomed online uh everything that you can imagine um this material is really really really good it’s very engaging very easy to deliver so if you’re a teacher or an educator yourself it’s pretty much you can pick up this manual and run it.

There are videos that are really entertaining and engaging. The kids seem to love it. They engage really really well. So if you have the opportunity to get Holly-ann to come to your school, to your community and learn from the best. Thank you!"
