The heart-warming story of Tiny Lund winning the 1963 Daytona 500 is shared in this Ford Autolite Sparkplugs film. Earlier in the month Lund had pulled Marvin Panch out of a burning Maserati. Lund was not only awarded the Carnegie Medal for his heroism but was asked to fill in for the injured Panch in the famed #21 Wood Brothers Ford. Lund made the most of his opportunity and went on to win the 5th annual Great American Race.
