Not my own video. Just a Purdue alum who loved this play. Bless you, ESPN, for not suing me yet.

Smotherman missed the 2nd free throw, Errick Peck tipped the ball back to Smotherman, who drove into the lane and made the layup before time expired in the first half, giving Purdue a 38-33 lead at the break and a ton of momentum (IU would never come close throughout the second half).

Fans were booing towards the end of Hail Purdue because IU coach Tom Crean was complaining to the officials about the play instead of going into the locker room. Crean probably thought the play was no good and wanted a reply, but the shot clearly went in even before time expired, and the clock doesn't stop for a made basket in the first half.
