I went on a weekend getaway trip to Jim Thorpe Pennsylvania to experience a piece of Disney history in my home state of PA! I visited the Harry Packer Mansion which was the architectural inspiration for Disney World's Haunted Mansion at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando Florida. I have wanted to visit this real haunted mansion ever since I found out it was in Pennsylvania and giving that I now have less than a month left before I move to Florida for my Disney college Program this was the perfect opportunity to finally go tour the mansion. I traveled to Jim Thorpe for the weekend with some of my Disney friends and we had fun checking out some other local attraction in jim thorpe such as the Muggle's Mug - a Harry Potter themed coffee shop as well as another coffee house, Curiosities Coffee and Ice House which featured Haunted Mansion wallpaper! We also visited many of the local small shops in town and enjoyed a glass of wine at Big Creek Vineyard winery. We toured inside of St. Mark's & St. John's Episcopal Church and saw their beautiful stained glass windows. Before checking out the Harry Packer Mansion we also visited the Asa Packer Mansion that sits right next door.
When we stopped back at The Harry Packer Mansion Inn for drinks at the Libations Lounge at the Harry Packer Mansion the staff was so kind and let us explore and tour inside the Harry Packer Mansion. I couldn't believe we actually went inside the real Haunted Mansion!
As a Disney fan this trip was a dream come true for me!

It is my dream to one day visited all the international Disney Parks as well! My travel interests also go beyond the Disney Parks, I love vlogging my cruise vacations and trips to all-inclusive resorts!
