Sky News contributor Prue MacSween has blasted Prime Minister Anthony Albanese as a “drowning man” who “knows he’s in trouble”.

Ms MacSween’s remarks come as the Albanese government spruiks their plan for tax cuts.

“This is a government that’s in trouble,” she told Sky News host Rita Panahi.

“He’s like a drowning man who’s got this life raft of okay, the tax cuts are coming, so you know they got me through that Dunkley election – so, maybe I can spend some of the poor sucker taxpayers’ money and make myself look the big man.

“We can all see through it, for God’s sake.”
