The first commercially available Class A solid state amplifier was the Sugden A21, produced in 1967. 54 years later I have a look at the latest incarnation. Each amplifier is still hand built by one person in the Sugden workshop in Yorkshire, England. I also see how the 23 watt Class A amplifier compares to my 150 watt Class AB Hegel H160.
