I found an excellent place to sit and capture video of the action. Nazaré was full of friendly people, and the atmosphere was very relaxed. People were very sociable. The bars, cafes, and restaurants did good business. It was a pleasant 17 degrees.

The day started with 25-foot waves and wrapped up with 35-foot-plus waves — not the biggest Nazaré can deliver, but with plenty of walls to work on.

Swell picked up gradually throughout the day, with consistent, clean sets marching toward the Nazaré shoreline.

I shot a Panasonic Lumix GH6 with a Panasonic stabilized 14-140 zoom lens in Cinelike D for minimal color correction.
