"Intentionality" is a long lost art in community building. Should we let a community form and set its intention and focus by itself, or should we install, sharpen, promote and insist on a certain focus, intention and purpose right from the outset and across the community journey? In this new dawn of community management, new horizons have come up on member and stakeholder expectations, and there are times when intentional communities with razor-sharp precision is what is required. Backed by intriguing success stories, this talk will argue that a healthy dose of intentionality may not only be the right thing for communities, but also for the journeys of today's and tomorrow's community professionals.
