This past Sunday (30 October 2016) I attended Car Candy Inc's "Aired Out" event at Northriding Square in Northriding. The main purpose of the event was to raise funds for a young boy, Aidan. Aidan was diagnosed from the early age of 18 month with a rare genetic disorder called Costello Syndrome. So rare that he is the 2nd diagnosis in SA. 300 people have it world wide. His mother needs to do abdominal scans every 3 months to screen for cancerous tumours and heart scans as Aidan has a thickened left ventricle wall. He has Culcaneo Vulgus Feet which is needed to be corrected. After the age of 10 he will need to undergo tests for bladder cancer too... The event was fun. Little Aidan got his wish to go into a real fire truck for a ride...There were some cool cars, and we had a great time.
