McLaren has unveiled the new Artura Spider, its first convertible with a powerful hybrid powertrain.
Compared to the original Artura, the new Spider has significant improvements, including more power, more performance and a revised suspension.

The McLaren is powered by an updated version of the 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged V-6 engine that produces 596 hp, combined with a 94 hp electric motor, the system produces 690 horsepower and 531 lb-ft of torque, an increase of 19 hp from the previous version.

The eight-speed gearbox that incorporates the electric motor has also been updated to provide 25 per cent faster gear changes.

The Artura Spider accelerates to 60 miles per hour in 3 seconds and reaches 124 miles per hour in just 8.4 seconds. The top speed is electronically limited to 205 mph. 0-186 mph in 21.6 seconds

The Artura is equipped with a 7.4 kilowatt-hour battery.
Electric-only range increased to 33 km

Suspension system response time has been increased by 90 per cent, improving response to driver actions and road surface changes.

The perfect balance of stunning performance, smooth ride and superb handling. It is the lightest car in its class with a dry weight of 3212 lbs.

The Artura also gets optional wireless charging, adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring and rear cross traffic alert. New optional carbon fibre trim elements are available, as well as a faster front lift.

The price for the Spider starts from $273,800
