A lonely man named Mr. Brown buys an old ugly doll from a shop. Strange things start happening - the doll seems to move on its own and cause trouble. Mr. Brown tries to get rid of it, but the doll keeps reappearing. One night, Mr. Brown builds a large fire in his garden to burn the doll. The fire grows out of control, the neighbors rush out, but Mr. Brown is nowhere to be found. Near the fire is the doll with a creepy smile, seemingly unharmed.
