In this video today, I show how to do wainscoting on a long hallway. I believe this elevates the look and I was able to complete this job in under $300.

1. Supplies: caulk, liquid nails, craftsman 18ga nail gun, 1.25" 18ga nails, 1" wide molding, miter box, caulk gun, painters tape, tape measure, 2ft level ruler, laser level, drywall spackle (or wood filler)
2. Recommend painters taping out the design and understanding spacing between molding, floor, other boxes, etc.
3. Try to stick to one size for height and width of boxes, makes it easier (e.g. did high rail 4ft off ground, each box is 32" wide and 29" tall)
2. Use the self cutting station at Home Depot and cut all the lengths needed so it fits in a car better
3. $9 Miter box from harbor freight for pretty much all the cuts
4. Do slanted cuts when approaching an edge
5. Laser level + ruler level + measuring tape + painters tape. Use them to measure 4x, then stick on and nail down once
