After being overhauled, the MSC Korea was ready to leave the drydock complex.
The company that did the overhaul (Engine Deck Repair) did a great job and allot of work.

The 2 propellers you see at the beginning of the video are brand new propellers which are meant to replace old props on the ships. They both have a weight of aprox 60ton/each
They have a new design which will make the ship sail slower, but with much more fuel efficiency which is good for the environement.

A summary of the work done by the company :

* The entire hull was given a fresh layer of paint (12.000m²) which consumed about 45.000liter of paint.
* Propellershaft was refurbished, which needed the removal of the propeller from it's shaft.
* Some engineroom maintenance (replacing old pipes and valves)
* Bearings of the main engine and generators replaced
* Electrical systems checked and replaced where needed
* Deck winches got an overhaul, and also the anchorchain was checked for damage/strenght

Great work by EDR !
