Description: Despite a continual drizzle — and occasional torrent — of rain, West Coast
Bureau Chief Conner Golden had his mind blown to bits by the all-new 2024 McLaren 750S as he asks: Is the latest “big” McLaren just an updated 720S?

Yes, actually. And that’s great news, as the prior-generation supercar was one of the greatest of its era, with its lighter, more powerful 765LT track-oriented variant making a serious claim for outright best. The new 750S cuts the difference between both of these progenitors, offering a crate of LT bits like bigger turbos and shorter gearing with the 720S’ daily usability and standard production availability. Unless you park a 720 next to a 750, you’ll be hard pressed to tell the difference from 20 feet away, but there’s enough mechanical and stylistic tweaks to keep the 750S fresh. Inside sees the biggest departure, though that’s mainly limited to revised drive controls and a new digital gauge display; everything else is the same swoopy, leather-wrapped McLaren you’ve loved before.

Do these changes add up to something meaningful? Check out the video above and our full written review below to find out.
