Tip #1 - How to legally drive with your tailgate down. License plate holder fold up. Donnie, do you know why the license plate holder folds up? It’s so that when you lower your tailgate, you can still see the license plate. So now you can legally drive your Bronco with the tailgate down and all your tools can slide out of the back when you stomp on the gas at a green light.

Tip #2 - How to get your heat to work. Pull out for heat. Usually if you don’t have any heat in your early Bronco it’s one of two things… your valve that you open and close to allow heat into your bronco has been bypassed, disconnected for the Heat on off cable or your flapper doors are complete rusted and wont even open. I had one in the other week that once all that was sorted out we couldn’t get it the heat to stop. Hey Jon, want to guess why I couldn’t get the heat to close off.

Tip #3 - How to use your high beams. Why high beams on the floor - In the 60’s electric switches were big. A switch that could handle the amperage of headlights and starters were too big to locate on the dashboard or steering wheel, so it went on the floor. Now that we have tiny switches that can handle high voltage and amperage, they can be put almost anywhere. But back then, they couldn’t find ways to get the switch in the dash so they put it on the floor.

Tip #4 Aligning doors and hood

Tip #5 - How to shoot a gun while driving your Bronco. Fold down windshield - Manufacturers used to put a fold down windshield in vehicles for a couple reasons. One, was so that when you were hunting (or back in war times), you could stay in the driver's seat and shoot out the front of the Bronco. How awesome is that?! Also, it was so you could carry long pieces of lumber. But really the design started when they shipped GP’s in crates for war and were trying to maximize space, and the design stuck around years after the war. The latch on the windshield went away in 1969.

Tip #6 - eliminate Gas Smell?, Fuel Vapor Recovery bottle behind drivers seat - with current technology, with a vented fuel cap you don’t need the Fuel Vapor Recovery bottle.
