Every year, more solar inverter brands arrive in Australia. Choice is great, but can be confusing. If you're looking to buy a solar system, which inverter should you choose?

I think the best people to answer this question are those who have to install, commission, maintain and support these inverters every day.

In the 2023 SolarQuotes Installers Choice Awards, I asked hundreds of installers in the SQ network to vote for inverters they'd be happy to have on their homes in two categories - money no object and budget.

This year, I added a third question - Which inverter brands offer the best after-sales support?

Note: While choosing a good inverter brand is really important, equally as important is installation quality. Even a top brand installed badly won't perform as well as it should, and may have other more serious problems.
