In this webcast, we looked at how one might navigate as a trader and investor through FOMC uncertainty and the earnings season. We looked at 2 trades previously placed in our example account. One position had hit a stop loss and we walked through how to calculate the total loss and return on risk. The second position was a stock position with a target. We had a conversation around whether to stay or exit and turn the current gain into a realized gain. In addition, we placed 2 bearish trades: a short call vertical and a long put vertical on the thinkorswim paperMoney platform.
