Welcome to Helsinki, the capital of Finland and home to 1.3 million people. Helsinki has consistently been ranked as one of the top most liveable cities in the world though it can be rainy at times, leading to the appropriately named Slush Conference. Slush is a startup conference that has become the biggest in Europe in the past five years. The conference is run entirely by students and volunteers and the energy is contagious. From our visit, we know we are just touching the tip of the iceberg in the Helsinki startup ecosystem and look forward to its bright future.
