UPDATED (correct) VERSION:    • Add the “Film Bloom Effect” to your v...

Since Adobe Premiere Pro doesn't have a bloom effect to drag and drop, I made my own customizable solution that looks great. And today I'm giving you the inside info to do it yourself on any type of footage.

Over on Instagram/TikTok, people have been asking me how I make my footage glow. What they're actually asking about is this effect called bloom, which kind of puts a halo around light sources, highlights, and other lit-up sections of the frame.

But anyway, the point of this video is to help you give your footage some new life and to inspire you to try new things and take some risks with your editing and storytelling.

So thanks for watching, and if you've made it this far, thank you for your time.

If you could leave a comment saying "Wow Trent, this was so cool and helpful, you should definitely teach us more about the film look," it would mean a lot. (Just copy and paste that comment, no need to get fancy.)
