The Green Knight isn’t exactly a story made for a wide audience. Based on the 14th century poem Sir Gawain and the Green Knight, the film is a retelling of the Arthurian legend centered on Sir Gawain, King Arthur’s nephew and a knight of the Round Table, who mistakenly accepts a challenge posed by the mysterious Green Knight.
