Struggling with Perimenopause, Menopause, Hormonal Changes and Weight Gain? What To Do.

 Published On Feb 25, 2021

If you feel like something is off, perhaps it is feelings of being tired all the time or extreme fatigue, incontinence or vaginal atrophy, hot flashes, sudden allergies, moodiness or night sweats, these are all menopause symptoms or perimenopause symptoms.

We don’t talk about it publicly enough so oftentimes we women don’t know what is wrong with us when it does happen, generally after 40s or after 50s. But signs of early menopause can start to happen in your thirties!

Perimenopause is the period prior to menopause or postmenopause. It’s time we change the conversation. There is nothing to be ashamed of or embarrassed about. This will happen to every woman. Some women have forced into menopause because of an illness or cancer. Others it will happen naturally but when it’s happening, it doesn’t feel natural at all.

There are treatments like HRT (hormone replacement therapy) that has been shown to be effective. Its risks were debunked years ago but many women still believe that it can cause cancer.

There are many natural ways to combat the symptoms associated with perimenopause.

The belly weight gain is one that is often a source of frustration for many perimenopausal women. Rachael talks about how to lose the extra pounds as well as other lifestyle adjustments we can make to reduce the severity of the symptoms.
