President Bill Clinton and host of other celebrities including comedian Jon Stewart, poked fun at each other through the medium of political satire in front of a lively crowd of White House journalists, Washington dignitaries, and entertainment celebrities at the annual White House Correspondents Dinner. The light hearted evening showcase the the President's joke telling ability - including material about campaign fundraising and White House documents.

However, it was comedian Jon Stewart who provided the main entertainment, with jokes aimed at the President, Congress, and the political establishment as a whole. Journalism awards were presented to Ron Fornier, Mara Liasson, Todd Purdum, and Byron Akohido. This event was hosted by the WHCD on Apr 26, 1997.
