On Day 2 of our adventure in New Zealand, we explored CATHEDRAL COVE and HOT WATER BEACH, two of the “must visit” attractions on the Coromandel Peninsula.

Hot Water Beach is one of the most unique beaches in the world! During low tide, we dug holes in the golden sand to allow for the thermal spring water beneath the surface to bubble up, creating little spa pools for us to soak in. The feeling of relaxing in hot spring water next to the ocean was truly an experience that we will never forget.

Next we headed to Cathedral Cove Walk, a trail that follows the Coromandel coastline and offers stunning views of dramatic cliffs and lush forests. The 45-minute walk took us to many picturesque stops along the way including Gemstone Bay and Stingray Bay, and at the end of the trail is Cathedral Cove, a majestic arched cavern that joins two secluded coves.

I hope you enjoy Day 2 of my New Zealand travel vlog series!
