In this video ill show you what you can do to make your regular 1/2" drywall or 5/8" drywall more soundproof. If your wall is open you can get behind the drywall, there is a product you can use that will make your wall block more sound from coming into the room.

You'll learn about the tools and materials you need, particularly acoustical sealant, which is an essential component in this process. Unlike regular caulking, acoustical sealant won't dry out or crack over time, which can compromise the seal and let in air, noise, and temperature changes.

I'll show you how to use acoustical sealant to seal the seams between the drywall pieces, where they meet the studs and where the two layers of drywall meet. I'll also provide a few additional tips, such as using backer rod to fill in gaps around electrical outlets, and putty pads for soundproofing.
