In this live public talk, Olivier Lamarre, a PhD student in planetary robotics with the STARS Laboratory at the University of Toronto, will briefly cover how current rovers safely navigate autonomously on the surface of Mars and how teams of human operators help them remotely. This talk is for all ages and anyone interested in learning more about this topic - no need for any technical background! The presentation itself will last 45 minutes and 15 minutes will be dedicated to answering questions from the audience at the end.

This event is part of the 2021 Science Odyssey festival.
