I know what you're thinking. WHO is crazy enough to shoot video with a Z 8 using internal mics (on Auto, even)? Well, here's your chance to hear what it sounds like. :-) And no, I wouldn't normally use internal mics. For this set of video clips, I was using the following gear/settings (see below):
- Nikon Z 8
- Nikon MC Z 105mm f/2.8 lens
- Everything is handheld - VR on (Normal, not sport)
- Aperture Priority
- Highlight Weighted Meteing
- 4K / 24p
- H.265 8-bit
- Portrait Picture Control
- Auto White Balance (A2 - 'Keep warm lighting colors')
- Auto Area - Area Mode (subject detection off)
- AF-F - Focus Mode
- VR on
- Internal Microphones (set to Auto, wind noise reduction set to off)
- Video clips were joined together in DaVinci Resolve 18 and exported as 4K for YouTube (MP4)
