Using nails versus screws for roofing - Queensland Roofing
In this video, I want to touch on a dear old friend of all roofers..the led nail roof!
What you see behind me is a led nail popping out of an old roof. It's very common to see in areas around Wynnum, Camp Hill and the older areas in Brisbane - Queensland.
The reason that is a dear subject to my heart is because we've tried every possible way to repair this style of roof. But at the end of the day, if you do have led nails--the reality is the only thing holding your roof down is a nail.
In this day and age, all roofs are held down with screws. Obviously with the thread a screw is going to be what bites into the timber frame structure of your roof, and enables that roof to stay on tight no matter what the wind conditions.
If you've got a led nail roof, unfortunately, the harsh reality is at some point you are going to have to replace it.
