Despite what Dish Network would like to have people believe, you CAN purchase and install your own satellite dish, DVR unit and thin client devices like the Joey. In this video, I walk through the process of installing an additional Joey to my existing Hopper \ Joey setup. I purchased the new Joey thin client and coaxial splitter on eBay for around $50. I simply had to make a quick call to Dish Network to have them register the device id and smart card id to my Dish Network account.
