Calling all @AudiUSAaficionados, on today's drag race, @Doug DeMuro​ puts his 1994 Audi RS2, against the 2021@Omaze Audi RS6. It's pretty clear who the winner will be, however, this is the second episode in a series of new vs old drag races the Petersen is hosting to not only exercise its vehicles but really test the performance of these amazing machines.

The #Audi RS2 Avant was manufactured from March of 1994 to July of 1995. Only 3000 RS2's were made and none were imported from the factory to the USA. The RS2 was a collaboration between Porsche and Audi and featured a 2.2-liter straight-five with 315 hp and 302 lb-ft of torque. It had a curb weight just over 3,500 pounds and a top speed of 163. The RS2 was #supercar fast for it's time and could get from 0 to 60 in just 4.8 seconds, from 0 to 100 mph in 13.1 seconds, and fly through the quarter mile in just 13.6 seconds. The RS2’s collaboration with Porsche meant it could turn and stop just as good as it could go, with Porsche tuned suspension and brakes.

The 2021 Audi RS6 carries on the legacy of the RS2 with supercar performance figures. The RS6 features 4.0 litre, twin turbo V8 with 591hp and 590 lb-ft of torque. It’s a hair under 5000lbs and can propel itself to 60 mph in just 3.4 seconds. It will keep accelerating to 100 mph in under 8 seconds and cruise to a top speed of 190mph if unlimited. The RS6 features Audi’s newly updated five-link front and rear setup, RS adaptive air suspension and all-wheel-steering system.
