The latest model from Mercedes-Benz, the Concept CLA Class, was introduced today as the first vehicle built using the new Mercedes Modular Architecture (MMA). This model offers a preview of what to expect from the upcoming series of cars that aim to set new standards in their category through improved efficiency and a commitment to sustainability. The Concept CLA Class boasts an electric drive unit, dubbed MB.EDU, which provides a driving range exceeding 750 km (466 miles) as measured by WLTP standards. This impressive range is achieved with an energy usage of about 12 kWh per 100 km.

The car's drive system is built around an 800-volt framework and achieves an efficiency of 93% from the battery to the wheels, even over extended distances. Such efficiency supports the vehicle’s ability to accommodate rapid DC charging, reaching up to 300 kW. Additionally, the Concept CLA Class is pioneering the use of the new Mercedes-Benz Operating System, MB.OS, which promises a highly personalized user experience. Visitors can explore some of these innovative features at the Mercedes-Benz exhibition stand, where the Mercedes-Benz seat box will be available for demonstrations.
