These humongous pots are made in Jingdezhen, China’s porcelain capital. Craftsmen use up to 200 tons of clay every year, which comes up to about 20 pieces of ceramics every day.
That may not seem like a lot, but making these giant wares takes lots of strength. They even have to work in teams to make sure the clay falls into shape — especially difficult if you want to make sure each pot is symmetrical.
