Lt. Gen. Paul E. Funk II was promoted to the rank of general by the Chief of Staff of the Army, Gen. Mark A. Milley in a small ceremony at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Va., June 21, 2019. Following his promotion Gen. Funk assumed command of the U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command.
