Fusion 360 isn't nearly as daunting as most people think. For someone coming from a non CAD or 3d modeling background there's a big learning curve but the print this week is a great way to get a little more familiar with models that you download using parameters. These models can be truly amazing in terms of what you can do with them and today I'm going to show how you can print any knob that you might be missing using my own car as an example.

Fusion 360 for Personal Use lets you do exactly that, modle things for personal use with some limitations. I've been using it for years and the only one that I've found limiting is the 10 model limit, however it's sometimes misunderstood what that means. You can mark models you aren't working on as read-only and they dont coutn towards your 10 model limit. At any time you can make those models editable again as long as you only have 10 or less as editable at a time.

I'm testing with a really small knob, settings are
Style 6
Diameter 12mm
Height 12.8mm
InsertWidth 7mm
InsertDepth 10mm
PointerDepth 1mm
Chamfer 1mm
PointerWidth 2mm
PointerHeight 3mm
Crescent Insert
Diameter 5mm
Inset 1mm
InsertWidth 7mm
Insert Depth 5mm
